Yooo! I have always been very curious how much cc people have in their games. Personally I'm a downloading freak, I download anything and everything. Okay not everything, but almost everything I think is pretty I have 973 MB or 877 sims3pack files. Which is alot for me, considering I hate the launcher >_> and also, I have 3,59 GB worth of package files, that is 2227 files in total and 13 folders ALOT of mods in there aswell. Today I was on a major downloading spree and dl'ed about 700 files in total, both formats ;D Yup I'm addictedSurprisingly, my game runs smoothly, with minimum lagging. Loading time varies on what mood my computer is in, but 5-10 minutes until I'm in my neighbourhood is normal for me. In TS2 I had about 50k, and my game took about an hour to load Soooooo, how much space does you cc eat from your harddrives?

Well, you've got me beat!
I've got 2.8 gigs of package files. I don't use sims3packs because I find they increase my load times significantly, so I convert them to packages... and I combine all my packages, so I couldn't tell you how many files I've got. The moment I learned to combine packages, my motto became "life's too short to not download cc."
My load time is five minutes, maybe a little more? I'm stuck playing on a mac most of the time, and I find that when I get to play on my PC my load times are much, much faster (but I don't know how much of that is me making things up).

I was hopeless with CC in TS2 and TS1, killed my games all the time because of cc conflicts or other errors caused by it. Clothes were my akilles heal, especially fancy formalwear, which was ridiculous since I never let my sims have parties anyway. I'm much better with TS3. So far, knock on wood... Got a handful of hair, Awesomemod, 1 dress but I do have lots of patterns. The patterns are the reason why I feel in less need of other CC, they go a long way imo. I do download stuff still though, I just keep from installing it until I feel I really need it. And also because I don't have all the EPs and SPs yet, I'm thinking some things I feel a need for I might end up getting from EAxis anyway. It does happen once in a blue moon. 190 MB in Mods folder, 436 MB in Downloads, which is mostly EAxis stuff.

I know what you mean Io, I dl hundreds of dresses, just cause they're pretty. But my sims never get to wear them xD I hate the parties in-game >_> Also clutter is my biggest weakness. Clutter + OMSP = <3 I cannot stop decorating my houses with small details lol At sarah, I also used to combine packages because that really decrease loading time significantly. But now my new computer is awesoooome <3 and I'm not really bothered by the loading time. Yet. Here's some pictures of my not-yet-so-cluttered tack room

I love to download knick-knacky things ie clutter. I just love to make all my surfaces look like they are used and I love my lots to appear 'lived in'. My packages folder has 529 files in it... but I know I have just as many Sim packs. For a while I was really addicted to downloading patterns but then I noticed that it just absolutely kills my ability to re-design anything because it takes so long to load all of them. So, needless to say I haven't downloaded any patterns in a while. Even now, they have to be pretty exceptional for me to use them. I am also addicted to artwork. I absolutely love the fact that you can raise and lower things on the walls now. That has made it only worse because I load up my walls will all sorts of things. I think that my eclectic style in real life as really rubbed off on all of my sims. I used to always have issues with pathing in my houses because I had too much stuff in my rooms. TS3 has dramatically made that a lot easier. I have recently started to play around with TSRW for the first time thanks to many motivations from Christina @ Equus, and so I can only imagine that the amount of CC I have in my game will only grow from here. I'm happy to see that I am not the only one with a downloading obsession!

I am also a clutter fiend... I don't really have that many downloads, except for build mode objects. I'm never satisfied with the windows and doors EA gives us.

I just downloaded a bunch of new doors and windows. I hate how EA never makes complete sets of windows. BAH!
