Hello there. If none of you have noticed, I'm new to the equestrian Sim community in general. Lately I've been filling up the Equus-sims cbox with nooby questions (that I still have plenty of).
I played Sims 1 whenever that came out forever ago, and had all the expansions, and all I could think about was, 'wow, this would be so much cooler with horses.' After Sims 2 came out, I stumbled upon the horse models and stable decor. Instantly had to have Sims 2 just to build stables. Now, as of last week, I've owned Sims 3. I purposely bought the 'Special Edition' Plus Pets version, since I didn't really think I'd be interested in the other expansions. Er, rather, I try and not be, for my wallet's sake.
Anyway, I used to ride, but never really competed seriously. I live at my mom's still, while I attempt to finish my general degree (with a focus in Graphic Design), and she has a mule and miniature donkey, and an orange porch-cat.
I'm 20, and I plan on moving from Florida to Alberta soon, so that should be fun. Especially since the boy has a gaming laptop that's made for running games on full graphics. n.n Other than Sims, I spend my time playing World of Warcraft (viva la Alliance!) and Rift.
I'm still trying to plan a focus for my stable. In forum-based sim games I tend to stray towards baroques and dressage, but seeing as there isn't dressage in the Sims game (got to love those dressage letters), I'm entertaining the thought of some gorgeous warmbloods.
I'm sorry that I'm not quite a regular member of the community yet, but I plan to be. Photos of stable designs and pretty pastures/arenas makes me need to play. They're like candy to me. I can't get enough. I'm sure I have most everyone's stables bookmarked in Firefox.
My apologies for all the rambling, and I hope I won't be getting on your nerves with all my ignorant questions that are inevitable.
